Update (Dec. 8, 11:54 a.m.): Watch André 3000 discuss his jumpsuits and his exhibition "i feel ya" during Art Basel Miami Beach

----

Update (Dec. 3, 6:12 p.m.): FADER was in Miami for Art Basel and spoke to André 3000 during his event. 'Dre spoke on how he didn't start the tour just to do the suits and spoke candidly about the Coachella performance plus how he didn't want to do the reunion tour.

"My first Coachella show, which was a horrible show, I wore something like [my outfit right now]," said 3 Stacks to FADER. "I didn't know what to wear on stage, so it was my overalls...Honestly, just, you know—I didn't wanna do the tour. We hadn't performed in 10 years. It was old songs. I'm like, How am I gonna present these songs? I don't have nothing new to say. So I was like, maybe I can start saying new stuff while doing these old songs. It became a theme where I was more excited about this than the actual show. This is fun, running out in these."

He adds, "I felt weird about going out on stage and doing it again. I felt like people would be like, 'Y'all are doing all these festivals, y'all are just doing it for money.' And I felt like a sell-out, honestly. So I was like, if I'm in on the joke, I'll feel cool about it."

3K continued on to explain the reason why he had a "sold" tag on his jumpsuits during the tour and what convinced him to do it. Read the full interview here.

Original Story: Over the summer André 3000 wore quote-filled jumpsuits during the OutKast Festival tour, wearing one with a different expression each night. The jumpsuits made such an impression that they are now featured in this year's Miami Art Basel and the SCAD Museum of Art.

Last night, an exhibition featuring André 3000's 47 jumpsuits premiered during Miami Art Basel 2014. The Savannah College Of Art and Design and SCAD Museum of Art will also present an exhibition titled "i feel ya: SCAD + André 3000 Benjamin." Trumpets, an experimental film by filmmaker Greg Brunkalla and painter Jimmy O'Neal, will also accompany the exhibition. Trumpets is a film about André's quotes, where the words become subtitles and randomly displayed throughout the day. O'Neal's colorful paintings add an inventive touch to the project.

The "i feel ya: SCAD + André 3000 Benjamin" exhibition will run from Dec. 3-14 at The Savannah College of Art and Design Museum's pop-up at Mana Miami (318 NW 23rd Street, Wynwood) and will later be on view in the summer of 2015 at SCAD in Savannah, GA.
