Everyone knows about 50 Cent's strained relationship with one particular boxer. The rapper acquired the rights to Tapia last year, signing on to co-executive producing the documentary on the five-time champion boxer. Tonight, Tapia airs at 11 p.m. EST on HBO.

50 never met Tapia—who died in 2012 of a heart attack at age 45—but he sees plenty of similarities. "As soon as I heard Johnny's story, I knew it needed to be told to the rest of the world," said 50 Cent to XXL. "Everyone can relate to some aspect of it, which makes it that much more powerful. His journey is one that has touched me greatly, I am honored to have had the chance to work on TAPIA."
