Big Sean Is The First Rapper To Actually Rap At The White House

Big Sean was given the chance to perform at the White House during The 2014 Easter Egg Roll. He joined pop star/girlfriend Ariana Grande on stage to perform their duet “Right There” in front of over 30,000 people. In the process, Sean became the first MC in history to perform rap at the White House.

Ja Rule Is Writing A Book And Got A Reality Show On MTV

Ja Rule, released his new book entitled Unruly: The Highs and Lows of Being a Man where he touched on his feud with 50 Cent. In the book, Ja Rule revealed how he beat 50 Cent up with a bat and crutch back in the day. Ja Rule will also be giving his fans a view of the lighter side of his life as MTV announced they greenlit a new series focused around Ja and his family called, Follow The Rules. Described as a comedic docu-series, the show will give an inside look at the dynamic between Ja, his wife and their three children.

First Ever Hip-Hop Museum/Hall Of Fame Opening In Harlem In 2017

James “JT” Thompson, the one-time producer of the BET Hip-Hop Hall Of Fame awards, has announced plans for a new hall and museum in New York City. The institution—to be located in Harlem on 125th St—would be the first of its kind honoring the culture.

The organizing committee raised over $50 million toward the project and secured the participation of artists like Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Run-DMC, Salt-N-Pepa, Common, Eminem, Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa and OutKast. The museum will also provide 90-minute tours and interactive exhibits.
