Following a year hiatus, the YouTube Music Awards will return in 2015 with a new fan-friendly format. According to a report from Rolling Stone, the 2015 version will be much different from the 2013 edition that featured performances from Eminem, Lady Gaga, Tyler, The Creator, Avicii, Earl Sweatshirt and Arcade Fire. This year, YouTube will dedicate a day in March to, "making music 'the headline act,''' which will hopefully mean a better show than the odd 2013 version that was considered a failure with only 220,000 viewers. Not much information has been given about the show but YouTube is optimistic since the on-demand version of the show garnered 54 million views. To prepare and promote the show, YouTube has launched an awards channel that will feature new videos and information about the awards from now until the day of the show.
