Wendy Williams Is Unfazed By The Aaliyah Biopic Backlash
Social media was ablaze on Saturday night as those who watched the Aaliyah biopic on Lifetime roasted the flick and its executive producer Wendy Williams. Williams had the chance to speak her piece on the movie during her daytime TV show, The Wendy Williams Show, and was completely pleased with the outcome of the original movie.
“My ‘Aaliyah’ movie broke the internet,” said Williams with a huge smile on her face. “Whether you loved it or hated it; you watched it. It was the second-highest-rated movie on cable this year. We all have opinions.”
As terrible as the film is, Williams can certainly rack up a win considering it was the most talked about event of the weekend.
