KWWL - Eastern Iowa Breaking News, Weather, Closings

In an unfortunate turn of events, Ty Dolla $ign's tour bus was initially pulled over for equipment violations on Wednesday morning (Nov.12) in Blue Mounds, Iowa  but turned into a drug investigation. The bus was headed to the Blue Moose Tap House in Iowa City for the next leg of Ty Dolla $ign's In Too Deep Tour featuring Lil Bibby, Joe Moses and TC 4800. Police found weed on the tour bus. However, Ty claims he wasn't even on the bus when it was pulled over.

The police calls Dane County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit after smelling weed on the bus. Cops retrieved 42.2 grams of marijuana from the vehicle, including 18.2 grams of Butane Hash Oil and 28 items of drug paraphernalia.

According to TMZ, a representative from Ty Dolla $ign's camp says there's no way the XXL 2014 freshman should have to pay the fine because he was on a plane to Omaha at the time of the incident. Ultimately, seven out of the 12 people on the bus were given citations for drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. December court dates have been set.
