RiFF RAFF is ready to take over the EDM circuit. After meeting well-known house artists Kygo and Thomas Jack at the Mad Decent Boat Party this past weekend, the Houston artist decided to make a career changing dive into an entirely different genre of music than what his fans are used to. Hoping to become the "EDM Justin Bieber," RiFF RAFF signed with Kygo and Jack's Golden Hare Management company.

The "Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz" rapper chopped it up with Billboard on Wednesday (Nov. 19) to discuss his management move and why he never claimed to be a hip-hop artist. He attributes his colorful personality and style to one perfect for the EDM scene and admits the lane he's in now is filled with too many mean haters.

"I never claimed to be a gangster rapper or a hip-hop artist. I think that's where people get confused and question my style, which they have never seen. The reality is that I'm the first and only EDM rapper to ever exist. I'm not a cross over artist, I wasn't a pop artist at first or in a gang, and I was never in a group, I'm the first and only EDM rapper of all time. I wear neon swim trunks and muscle shirts and have neon magenta colored hair, and have over 1.3 million dollars in real diamonds and I stay away from the haters. How could anyone confuse me for a hip-hop artist?"

This shouldn't come as a surprise to his fans. Back in February, the Neon Icon revealed he wanted to be more involved in the EDM scene after Diplo executive produced an LP for him.
