Rick Ross Says Meek Mill Is Getting Out Of Jail Soon

Meek Mill has been locked up since July for a probation violation stemming from a 2009 drug and gun charge, and the Philly rhymer has had a few false starts when it comes to becoming a free man. But his MMG boss Rick Ross doesn't think Meek will be locked up for too much longer.

"You know, the the big homie, he was sentence to six months off the rip," Ross told Hot 97 the other day. "We done got our hopes up a couple of times so I said I wasn't going to feed into that again. When he come home, he come home. At worst it won't be more than a month at this point, you know what I mean? So we just ready for the big homie to get to the crib, hopefully he can spend the holidays with us, you know what I mean, and kick 2015 off."

Meek was originally sentenced in July to three to six months behind bars, and an appeal later that month for an emergency hearing for an early release was denied by a judge. His sophomore album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, had originally been scheduled for a Sept. 9 release, but that was pushed back indefinitely due to Meek's ongoing legal troubles.

Social media went ballistic in October when a new track with Meek Mill and Boosie Badazz dropped out of nowhere, with many believing it heralded the release of the MMG MC from prison, but XXL confirmed that Meek was still locked up. But according to Ross, it doesn't seem like that will be the case for that much longer. Dreams Worth More Than Money is one of the most anticipated albums on the docket.
