Update (Nov. 20, 2:40 p.m.): Listen to the original demo version of the critically acclaimed 8-mile single "Lose Yourself," listen below.

------
Original Story: With Eminem gearing up to release his compilation album Shady XV, he continues to drop a litter of gems regarding the Shady days. Rather than call on the boys of Slaughter and Yelawolf to begin a lyrical brigade again, this time around, he sat down to reveal a tidbit of information regarding one of his biggest hits to date in the form of "Lose Yourself."

"There was another version of that song," said Shady in the clip for his Beats documentary for "Lose Yourself."

Em Adds, "I don't even remember recording [it]. I don't even remember where I was at when I recorded it. I don't remember any of the first verse. I don't remember it. So he called me one day and told me about it. I was like, 'What?'"He was like, "Remember the scratched version of 'Lose Yourself'. I was like, 'No, I don't.'"

To hear that one of Em's biggest records to date has an alternative version simply has to give you goosebumps. Check out a preview of the minute-long snippet. This should hold you over for awhile. The unreleased version will be on the second disc of the Shady XV album, which is due Nov. 24.
