Chris Brown Says His Past Drug Use Affected His Work

Update (Nov. 4, 10:02 a.m.): Chris Brown visited Funkmaster Flex to talk about the Drake and Tyga beef (which he stays pretty much neutral in). While he was there he dropped a nice freestyle over the instrumental to Nicki Minaj's "Only," a song that he's actually featured on. Watch it above.

In an interview with Hot 97's Ebro In The Morning show, Chris Brown spoke about some of his past drug issues, admitting that the drugs began to affect his work.

"I was turnin' up, off the syrup, the Xanax," Chris replied when asked about his past drug issues. When asked about what the drugs did to him, Chris replied "I was falling asleep on video sets, I was cussin' people out randomly. I was doin' crazy stuff." He continued by saying "I would wake up, ask my homies 'Ey man so what time we gotta shoot this video?' and they'd say 'Dude, we shot it yesterday.'" Chris said that "when I started seeing it started affecting my work and what I was doing" he came to a decision to "chill out" and "get up off" the drugs. He does say in the interview that he continues to smoke weed because, as he says "marijuana never messes me up."

In the interview, Chris also talks about his relationship with Hot 97's Ebro, with Ebro revealing that he was the one that got Juelz Santana on the remix of Chris Brown's 2005 breakout hit "Run It". Check out the interview above and below.

Chris also posted this vid on Instagram yesterday (Oct. 30) of him rapping OG Maco's "U Guessed It" with a wig on. We'll chalk it up to it being Halloween.
