50 Cent & Jay Z made a huge splash after deciding to venture over to the world of boxing. With 50 Cent starting SMS Promotions and Jay Z embarking on a boxing division for Roc Nation Sports, boxing aficionados have applauded their endeavors. One man in particular who happens to be happy with their recent moves happens to be Bernard Hopkins. In an interview with BET, Hopkins explained why it's important to have artists like Jay Z and 50 Cent in the world of boxing.

“Roc Nation, they in the game right now. They put skin in the game big time,” said Hopkins. “Anyone that gets in the game to sincerely enhance what we have already, I’m all for it. Because to me, not one promoter should run boxing.”

Over the summer, Jay Z started a boxing division for Roc Nation Sports by hiring the likes of boxing promoter David Itskowitch. Check out the interview Hopkins had with BET.
