After finding out that Dr. Dre's Detox was scrapped, it almost seemed inevitable that Andre 3000 and Jay Electronica would follow suit and become hip-hop dreamkillers. Well, Jay Elect debunked those claims by adamantly guaranteeing a release. Now, Andre 3000 is promising millions of hopefuls that a solo endeavor is imminent. In an interview with Life + Times, 3000 solidified his stance by acknowledging that he and Big Boi are working on solo efforts.

"As far as an Outkast album, we don’t have any plans to do one. After this tour though, I’ve been thinking about recording this album that I always wanted to record. We’re both working on solo albums. Big Boi is damn near through with his next album. I think after we finish this last show on October 31st in New Orleans. I’d love to get in the studio and see if I can conjure up something.”

This certainly provides life into what was once a dubious subject matter. In June, 3000 hinted to a possible return when he admitted to working on new material.  If fans can't get an Outkast album, this will definitely suffice.
