T.I.’s Wife Tiny Is Working On More New Music

Tiny is certainly a jack-of-all-trades. From her recently released new single "What The Fuck You Gon' Do?" to starring in the fourth season of T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle to unveiling her new line of tequila, it's a wonder how Tiny finds to manage, even on top of her family duties. Tiny is the epitome of the modern day woman. She's got class, an unbelievable work ethic and booty for days.

XXL caught up with Tiny, who stopped by to give the staff a taste of her new Tiny's Tequila. As the drinks started flowing, the conversation started going. Here's what we got. —Miranda Johnson

XXL: What inspired your new tequila line?
Tiny: I was just talking about some other business with this guy Eric, he came to me and was like, "How interested would you be in working with some kind of liquor?" I told him that I would be so we talked about a tequila. I told him that for me to do tequila, I would want to do something different, like a flavored tequila, and I also wanted to make sure that it doesn’t have that real bad burn. It’s tequila so it’s going to have some burn, but just not over the top. That’s how that came about.

I heard that the tagline is “The Tequila Of Ladies Night Out.” Why did you choose that?
I think all women that like tequila will like [my] tequila. If you’re not against any flavored drinks then you would definitely like this tequila. It does have a hint of a flavor but it still gets you where you want to be. I’m not a strong drinker so that was another reason why I wanted to make it a little bit more for some of us that like to drink socially but don’t like the terrible taste.

Along with the new tequila, you have your new single. Are you planning on dropping an album?
I’ve been in the studio; it’s either going to be an EP or an album. I’m just deciding how much time I have for that with everything else. I haven’t been able to record as much because I’ve been on the road filming my new spinoff show. That’s been taking me away from the studio. But I’m definitely getting back to it.

I know that before you were taking a break from music. Why now do you want to get back into it?
I was taking a break and I really didn’t plan to come back because I was focused on the girl group [The OMG Girlz]. But I think that just things I was going through in my life put me back in the studio. It drew me back to the studio. That’s what happened.

We’re now on the fourth season of T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle. How does it feel to have come this far and to have people support your show the way they do?
It’s great. First of all, doing the show with your family and your kids, it’s most of the time really cool because you get to spend that time together. It’s not as frustrating as it is with strangers or just a whole bunch of girls. Now it can be a little straining 'cause you are dealing with kids, and my kids are running all over the house. We’re trying to get a scene done and they’re playing around. I enjoy it and hopefully we’ll be back for a 5th season.

How are the kids enjoying their newfound fame?
The only one that doesn’t really get into it and is not cool with it, is Major. That’s the crazy part, because everybody loves Major. He’s the favorite. Major could care less; he doesn’t like to take pictures. He doesn’t like for people to approach him as if they know him when he doesn’t know them. He’s six but it’s nothing I can really do but tell him I’m sorry. He’s always like, "No pictures." The rest of the kids love it, they deal with it. Sometimes it gets overbearing when they can’t do the things that they want to do because they’re being stopped every five minutes, but for the most part it’s cool.

Going into the show did you have reservations about putting your family on TV?
I didn’t think of it in a bad light. I thought it would show actually something different on TV. 'Cause there’s not a lot of families [on TV]. All I knew was Run’s House and I thought that was a really good show. They seemed like they were with it and they were ready. As long it wasn’t forced.
