Queen Latifah popped up on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night and gave the scoop on her management days during the early part of her career. When prompted by Kimmel about what acts she handled, Latifah reeled off an impressive roster that included Naughty By Nature, Fu-Shcnickens, OutKast, SWV, and Monica. "“Sometimes [my business partner and I] would just sit together and we would spot some really cool talent like OutKast,” explained Latifah. “They would just kind of blow us away, and we would say ‘We should go manage them, see if we can help them grow’.”

As manager, Latifah helped get artists record deals, developed marketing plans and guided them on their path--all at the young age of 18.

Later in the interview, Queen Latifah revealed that she was responsible for coming up with the name for Naughty By Nature. "We were all just sittin' around in the room, and they were doing something mischievous, I'm sure," explained Latifah. "So, I was like, 'Y'all just Naughty By Nature!...You know what, y'all should be called Naughty By Nature!' They liked the name and so they became Naughty By Nature."
