The man who made classic hits such as "Love," "Don'tchange," “Just Friends” and "Halfcrazy" is trying to become a rapper.

Musiq Soulchild aka The Husel released a self-titled mixtape that will make fans scratch their head and ponder what is going through the R&B singer's mind. It's very Future-like and he explains in a recent interview with Madame Noir why he's trying to reinvent himself.

“Every time I turn on the radio, I hear this sound," said The Husel "It’s challenging to hear that sound [R&B] on the radio right now, for whatever reason. R&B is struggling right now. And I’m the kind of person to entertain people with what they’re saying entertains them, and right now this sound is what’s entertaining them."
