The Global Spin Awards Announce Their 2014 Nominees

The Global Spin Awards is an annual ceremony celebrating the work of music's foundation, the DJ. Producers will also be recognized for their contribution to music as well. Earlier yesterday during a press conference at Midtown Manhattan's Bryant Park, nominees for the 3rd Annual Global Spin Awards were announced for categories like, hip-hop, EDM, reggae, and best celebrity DJ.

The nominees were announced by a panelist oh hip-hop heavyweights including, Kid Capri, Funkmaster Flex, DJ Premier, REVOLT CEO Keith Clinkscales, and Rob Kenner of Boomshots and Editor at Large at Mass Appeal.

"Categories include DJ’s and producers from all regions, spanning all genres. Highlights of this year’s nominees are DJ Envy, Funk Master Flex, DJ Vice and Diplo. For the producer category, DJ Khaled, Clinton Sparks and DJ Cassidy were a few of the notables.  Swizz Beats, Solange, Idris Elba, Lil Jon and Jermaine Dupri were nominated for top celebrity DJ’s while top album nominees included DJ Khaled: Suffering from Success, Clinton Sparks: IconoClast and DJ Prince:Test My Sound to name a few."

The 3rd Annual Global Spin Awards will take place Nov. 18 at New World Stages in New York and will air the following week via REVOLT TV.
