Brick Squad Greg “Frenchie” Hogan has stepped out to launch his own label, Protekted Records. With his new partners Jon Gornbein and Karen Frailberg he plans to build the ideal platform for digital content.

In addition to being a rapper and label owner, he also played a role linking artists such as Nicki Minaj and French Montana up with manager and reality TV star Debra Antney.

The New York native is excited to head up Proteked as its president and so far has gained nothing but support.“I feel confident with my decision to become my own boss. I watched Gucci. I watched his progression, and how he developed the 1017 Brick Squad brand, the artists, and the label, to where it is today. Global.”

Last week the label teamed up with Empire Distribution, a subsidiary of Atlantic Records to release Frenchie’s EP, Fukk Fame. He is gearing up to drop his debut album next year, which is expected to feature B.O.B., Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka Flame, Migos, Chanel West Coast, Yo Gotti, Jerry Wonda, 808 mafia and Metro Boomin.
