Reading is fundamental. Cash Money Records is encouraging the youth within the African American community to pick up a book and read. According to a press release, Cash Money content division launched a campaign entitled #IRead #WeRead in order to fix one of the biggest problems affecting the children today.

“Reading is an important step in the right direction toward making a difference in our community,” says Slim the Co-Founder of Cash Money Records and Cash Money Content.  “Let's encourage our communities to read.”

The press release urges people to share books, links, and articles with the hashtags #IRead & #WeRead.

"This effort is to not only open the dialogue about books and share interesting literary findings,” the press release explains, "but also to inspire families and the African American community as a whole to pick up books, follow links and read.”
