Looks like Apple might be following through with their decision to shutdown Beats Music, the subscription based music streaming service made available for customers online and as an app, according to a recent Tech Crunch report. While, Apple denies the rumors, calling them "untrue," sources close to Tech Crunch say Apple “may, however, modify [Beats Music] over time, and one of those changes could involved changing the Beats Music brand.”

In light of the recent changes at Apple—like the release of the iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus and iOS8 software update—Beats Music is no where to be found. Surprisingly, the Beats Music app did not come pre-installed on the newest versions of the iPhone even though several other Apple-based apps were pre-loaded onto the phones. When iOS7 was the newest software on the market, Beats Music was constantly being advertised, but the only mention of it with the latest iOS8 update came when Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the new U2 album would be available there.

All signs seem to lead to the chopping block. Apple has yet to release an official closing date of the Beats Music service or how they plan to restructure it. XXL will fill you in on more details when they're disclosed.
