NBA Denies Asking The Toronto Raptors To Fire Drake

The NBA is denying reports that it asked the Toronto Raptors to have Drake step down from his role as global ambassador. The league fined him $25,000 for public recruiting Kevin Durant for his beloved team during OVO Fest. According to the NBA it had no intent getting rid of Drake, just wanted him to follow the anti- tampering rules.

NBA Senior Vice President of basketball commissions, Tim Frank told The Canadian Press in a statement released yesterday: “At no point did we suggest his title be removed but we were clear that as long as he acted as a representative of the team, he is subject to the league’s rules.”
