After years of crafting chart topping singles and albums, the duo of producer Jermaine Dupri and Mariah Carey has officially come to an end. According to Rap-Up, JD has severed ties with the Pop songstress as her manager because of creative differences.

“I put my all into every project. But when I’m not allowed to do what I do, then I know it’s time for me to move on. Mariah and I enjoy working together and will continue to make great music together in the future," said JD.

Speculation regarding the split stems from Mariah's working relationship with former Def Jam President, Kevin Liles. While Liles hasn't signed Carey to his management company, he has helped her launch her own beverage brand.

If you remember, JD helped spark Mariah's comeback album, The Emancipation of Mimi, which spawned her hits like "We Belong Together," "Shake It Off" and "It's Like That."

Her most recent album, Me. I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse under performed on the charts. JD cited her poor sales due to the climate of the industry, but admitted that it was a project that would grow over time.
