According to a recent MTV report, The Game and English singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran are practically finished with their collaboration album. While the pair joining forces is more mind boggling than surprising, hip-hop artists have ventured across a variety of musical platforms for years to shake up their sound. Sheeran told MTV about the simplicity of completing the songs with the "What You Want" rapper.

“I’m a big fan [of Game],” Ed Sheeran told MTV News on the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet. “He called me and I ended up doing just one song with him and the next day he came down to the session that I was in and we did about six songs.“Then we just did more and more as that week went on, and then it was all done.”

While there is still no word on an official release date, the album is suspected to drop late 2014 or early 2015. Sheeran also reassured fans he will not be spitting on the album, he plans to leave that up to the professional.

“I do it now and then but I can’t rap with a professional rapper, it’d be weird,” said Sheeran.
