Disney Channel Star Zendaya Coleman Explains Why She Stepped Down From The Aaliyah Biopic

Last Friday (July 18), Disney Channel star Zendaya Coleman took to Instagram to address why she decided to end any further production of the Lifetime Aaliyah based biopic Aaliyah: Princes of R&B, as well as, congratulating the new candidate chosen to play the role. Zendaya received a lot of slack for attempting to play the part of the beloved singer, mainly due to her complexion, but she didn't let the hate deter her from wanting to honor her hero. Zendaya set the record straight about feeling immoral about continuing production and all the drama that arose with the film.
