Wu-Tang Affilate Shyheim Franklin Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter
Wu-Tang Clan affiliate, Shyheim the Rugged Child, a.k.a. Shyheim Franklin maybe facing up to 14 years or more behind bars. On Thursday the MC plead guilty to second-degree manslaughter for fatal hit-in-run he was involved in that claimed the life of a bakery worker at the beginning of the year.
In addition to pleading guilty to manslaughter, the 36-year-old also admitted to weapon-possession stemming from an April 2013 arrest when cops found a loaded gun and drugs in his apartment.
Back in April of this year Franklin told HipHopDX that he was innocent, claiming that the NYPD had a history of “not flying straight.”
Franklin will be sentenced Aug. 21 in state Supreme Court, St. George. He is expected to serve four and two thirds to 14 years for manslaughter in addition to seven years for gun possession.
