Rick Rubin Is Trying To Legally Change His Name

Def Jam co-founder and master producer Rick Rubin is fighting for his identity in court. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Rubin has filed legal docs to change his name from Frederick Jay Rubin to his nickname, Rick Rubin.

When asked  why, at 51-years-old, Rubin has decided to go through with the legal name change, his representative gave no comment. While he gets his name sorted out, Rubin is busy working on Kanye West's new album, joining Twitter, and praising the DJ.
