Rich Homie Quan Is Helping Birdman With The Rich Gang Project

Rich Homie Quan and Birdman have been spotted together numerous times over the past couple months and even released a collaborative track. XXL recently caught up with Rich Homie Quan and the 2014 XXL Freshman provided some clarity on his and Birdman's relationship and what exactly they're working on together.

"I'm helping Birdman with the Rich Gang project," said Rich Home Quan. Of his relationship with the Cash Money mogul he added, "Birdman is more like a big brother I never had. He gives me a lot of creative advice. A lot of wisdom. I just kick it with him every day, we just a family."

As Quan is currently independent, his close association with Birdman leaves many to think that he may pen a deal with Cash Money, but according to Rich Homie himself, he's still weighing out his options: "I'm just still waiting on the right situation. I want something that's gonna be long term opposed to something that's sort of like a fling. But yes, I do want to sign a label deal."

Independent or not, Rich Homie is dropping his debut LP this year. "I will be dropping my album before the year is out," he told XXL.

And as far as working with the rest of the YMCMB clan like Lil Wayne, Rich Homie says,"We have yet to get it in, but I know it's coming. Drake too. I did a show in Houston with Drake. I talked to [Drake] last week though...earlier this week. We're making progress."-Miranda Johnson (@Randa_writes)
