Redman And Method Man Reminisce About Classic Hip-Hop Days In “I Used To Be”
Red and Mef are back with another hit. The dynamic duo hook up with German DJ Collective GOH (Gorillaz On Haze) and Sugarstarr for a bass knockin’ track called “I Used To Be.” The funk-driven house tune samples Aretha Franklin’s classic “One Step Ahead.”
Last year, GOH approached Red and Mef with the idea to record a hip-hop-house fusion track. Both rappers agreed and then Sugarstarr was added. The black-and-white visuals will take you back to hip-hop’s golden days, filled with fuzzy scenes. Check it out above.Christopher Harris
