Thanks to VH1 and Palladia ?uestlove will be bring forth his new executive produced show called SoundClash. The idea for the show stemmed from Jamaican sound clashing he was exposed to growing up. For SoundClash ?uestlove has recruited likes of Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy, Sia and T.I. who will share the stage to perform striped down versions of their classics along with covers their favorite artists.

He explained that by allowing artists to cover song is “a serious form of showing where your roots come from.”

?uestlove believes music is changing, specifically hip-hop.

“You know, we as black people have to come to grips that hip-hop is a contagious culture. If you love something, you gotta set it free,” he said to TIME. “I will say that “Fancy,” above any song that I’ve ever heard or dealt with, is a game-changer in that fact that we’re truly going to have to come to grips with the fact that hip-hop has spread its wings.”
