Meek Mill has been sentenced to several months in jail for a parole violation.

A Philadelphia judge has order Meek Mill – real name Robert Williams – to spend three to six months behind bars. The District Attorney felt his behavior while on parole was questionable.

The MMG rapper just announced the release date for his upcoming album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, on Sept. 9. This means Meek may be incarcerated during his album rollout.

XXL will update you on the story as it develops.

UPDATE: Karen Civil says Meek will be released in the following weeks.
