After providing fans and critics with a dope album in the form of good kid, m.A.A.d city,  Kendrick Lamar has decided to provide a visual interpretation for his beloved project. On Aug. 9, Kendrick Lamar along with award winning director Kahlil Joseph will debut m.A.A.d, a short film based on his album.

The film will debut at Sundance's first annual NEXT Fest at the Ace Hotel in Downtown L.A.. This first time event is catered to the work of rising directors and artists.

The short film has been described as “a kaleidoscope of storylines and ideas that defy typical categorization to explore new languages and new forms.”

Also, Lamar and Joseph will be featured in panel discussion regarding the film. Tinashe will be on hand as well to perform.
