Jay Z, Kanye West, And More Called Out By “Fact Checking Rap Meme”
Jay Z and Kanye West
Rumored Project: Followup to Watch The ThroneTitle: Watch The Throne 2
Release Date: N/A
What They've Said: Not much from Jay since last August, when he mentioned that the plan was sort of there, saying, "...we definitely spoke about dropping solo albums and then going back to do Watch The Throne 2, so we'll see what happens." Those solo albums are out of the way now, though Kanye's promised another from him in the near future. He also mentioned that the two are constantly working, but that they have no material for a rumored followup yet. Mike Dean made a reference to it in 2012, but that's so long ago at this point that it barely bears repeating.
What We Know: If this happens, it will come under even more scrutiny than the first one. Both have gone in different, highly-scrutinized directions since dropping the original WTT, and neither really need it right now to further their careers or legacies. It will come to to whether or not they feel like doing it, and not much else.
Likelihood Of It Dropping: 3 percent
Have you ever wondered sometimes what your favorite rapper was saying? Like maybe their lines were so intricate that you couldn't grasp the meaning any of them. Well, maybe their lines were either that potent or they just didn't make any sense at all. A new meme called, the "Fact Checking Rap Meme" is on a rampage and is on a mission to point out the errors in some of your favorite rappers' lines.
The creator of the meme, emanhudson, has made it his duty to shed light on the lyrical inaccuracies made by a bevy of successful rappers including Jay Z, Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj.
Emanhudson poked fun at Kanye West for his line on "Black Skinhead." “I keep it 300 like the Romans,” says Ye. Emanhudson begs to differ. “But 300 was about Spartans…,” says the meme.
The meme was also critical of Nicki Minaj for her lyrics on Young Thug's "Danny Glover" (Remix).“I am not gay, but let’s be precise/‘Cause if she pretty, then watch it ‘cause I’mma be fuckin’ ya wife. “But thats gay…,” says the meme.
The "Fact Checking Rap Meme", also went after Jay Z for his line "It's Hot" from his 1999 album, Vol 3...Life & Times Of S.Carter. “Thirty-eight revolve like the sun ‘round the Earth,” rapped Jay Z. The meme fired back by saying: “But the Earth revolves around the sun…"
