Iggy Azalea Is Third Artist In History To Replace Herself With A Number One Song
XXL Freshmen alum Iggy Azalea is having a monster year. Her single, "Fancy," is undeniable and her feature on Ariana Grande's "Problem" has replaced "Fancy" as the number one song on Billboard's Pop Songs and Rhythmic Songs chart. Azalea now joins Mariah Carey and OutKast as the only artists in history to replace their chart-topping song with their own track. The Australian MC also joins the Beatles in history as the only acts to simultaneously have a No. 1 and No. 2 hit song with their first two Hot 100 hits.
Nicki Minaj may have been throwing shade at Iggy Azalea during her BET Awards acceptance speech but the numbers don't lie; Iggy Azalea is on top of the game.
