Iggy Azalea Was Upset After Nicki Minaj’s BET Awards Speech
Nicki Minaj caused quite a stir during her speech at the 2014 BET Awards. The monologue included what many thought was a shot at Iggy Azalea's success. Though both Minaj and Azalea have denied any type of beef or problems, Iggy's boyfriend, Los Angeles Laker player Nick Young, claims that the words and the aftermath did some damage on his woman.
"I had to deal with the the aftermath of all that," Young told the New York Daily News while on the red carpet for last night's ESPYS. "When she came home and was going through her phones, hearing everybody talking trash about her. I had to be there for her."
Any problems between the two female rappers has been downplayed by both parties, but Young believes that jealousy is in the air.
"Iggy is doing big things and that is what is scaring people," said Young. "She is going to brush it off. She won't let it get to her. She is number one--what can you do? She's at the top right now, so of course they are going to come at you."
