To continue on with the theme of art today, in a recent interview with the Daily Beast, Art Adviser, Maria Brito spoke about her connection with rap mogul, Diddy. Diddy has never been shy about flaunting some of most gaudiest purchases. Now, it appears that Brito has rubbed off on him, as she said that Puff has become immersed in the art culture altogether.
In her interview, she highlighted that the two met in 2010 and that working with him has been “fun and intense.” While Puff has been known to be very picky, she said that he’s the type to love hard when something finally catches his eye.” It’s hard for him to truly, truly fall in love with something, but when he does, it’s major,” she said. One of their major purchases came in the form Tracey Emin’s When I Listen to the Ocean All I Hear Is You (2011).
Asides from Emin’s purchase, she said that Diddy has purchased over 30 works by artists including, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Ai Weiwei, and Keith Haring.
