Common recently came forth revealing a tidbit of news that everyone probably should have already known. Explaining that the short beef between him and Drake back in 2012 stemmed from both rappers mutual love for Serena Williams, Common says he's glad things were eventually resolved and didn't escalate into something more.

"At that time, I think it was the Drake-Serena situation," Common told Vlad TV. "I didn't know what was going on with that. And I ain't know if he was throwing shots at me. [Serena] my ex and we're going our separate ways. So unfortunately the war might have been over a girl but at the time I never said that. It wasn't totally that. It was more of do you respect me? Cause I actually like you as an artist."

He later added, "I look back on it and say I'm glad it never escalated into a physical thing."

Common is currently gearing up for the release of his new album Nobody's Smiling. The 10-track LP includes the previously released, “Kingdom” featuring Vince Staples along with appearances from Lil Herb, Cocaine 80?s, Jhene Aiko, Big Sean, Elijah Blake and others.
