The beef between Mistah F.A.B., YG and DJ Mustard escalated to the point where a brawl broke out at a Cali-club where Mustard was spinning. While F.A.B. says he has moved on from the incident, YG came forth to discuss the incident to those inquiring about the problems between the camps. During an interview with MTV News following YG's performance at Hot 107.9's "Birthday Bash" concert in Atlanta, the "Who Do You Love?" MC explained the rift between Mustard and Mistah F.A.B.

“The Mistah F.A.B. nigga, he say the homie stole the Bay sound, he say Mustard took the Bay sound,” said YG. “He feel like that, okay, we don’t feel like that, Mustard don’t feel like that.”

“I don’t feel like [Mustard is] taking a Bay sound, especially my album don’t sound like the Bay,” continued YG. “Every time somebody speak on my album they say it remind them of [Snoop Dogg's] Doggystyle, Eazy-E, DJ Quik, it remind them of that. I’m trying to figure out what he’s talking about, because I really don’t know.”

YG also went on to say that he feels Mistah F.A.B.'s opinions are exclusive to him since YG and Mustard continue to get bookd for shows in the Bay and are frequently invited up to Bay Area radio stations for interviews.
