There could be a repeat of Summer Jam at the 2014 BET Music Awards. Nicki Minaj has been added to the list of performers for the show, which already included Drake and Lil Wayne. With The Pink Print on the way, this will Nicki’s second year in a row performing at the award show. She’s also nominated for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at the awards.
Also hitting the stage are two R&B singers on the rise, Jhene Aiko and August Alsina. Aiko has made a name for herself over that past year appearing on tracks with Drake and Childish Gambino while 2014 XXL Freshman Alsina has dominated the airwaves with tracks such as “I Luv This Shit.”
In addition, John Legend will also be joining the lineup. Other performers include Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Trey Songz, Pharrell Williams, Mack Wilds, K Michelle and Lionel Richie.
Chris Rock will host the star-studded event Sunday June 29.
