Beats by Dre has had a pretty big year so far. After closing a $3.2 billion deal with Apple, the rapid growing company is readying the release of their latest headphones, SOLO2. Beats released a star-studded, five-minute-commercial featuring big names like Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj to promote their latest product, as well as, the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
Music and sports have shared a deep rooted relationship for countless years, so it’s no surprise Beats would reach out to two of Hip Hop’s heavyweights to help sell their items. The U.S. men’s national soccer team even elected Lupe Fiasco as their musical director.
