This week, blogs have rightfully bombarded fans with dozens of Tupac posts, considering Monday marked the rapper's 43rd birthday. One person who isn't shy in admitting his love for the late rapper, is Kendrick Lamar. During BET's mini four-part series of The Message, Kendrick Lamar recalled seeing Tupac and Dr. Dre as a child in Compton and revealed how that one experience inspired him forever.

"Huge Tupac fan forever," said Lamar during his interview for The Message. "'Pac? Energy, aggression, emotion, something I gotta dig deep and think about all my woes in my life."

Kendrick also spoke on his experience of seeing the rapper alongside Dr. Dre in Compton. Kendrick said,  he saw Dre driving a Bentley with Tupac in the passenger seat. A cop on a motorcycle nearly hit the vehicle, prompting Tupac to say, "Yo, what is you doing? This is a $100,000 car. You in front of my people."

That one experience carried on with Kendrick. He noted that just by seeing those caliber of rappers walk into Compton unfazed by the nature of his environment, proved to him that "anything is possible."

He concluded by saying, "I hope I inspire the next kid."
