Why It's Dope: Kanye flipped Nina Simone’s 1960s ballad “Strange Fruit” to create “Blood on the Leaves,” the third single off his polarizing sixth studio album, Yeezus. Ye’ uses the auto-tune to emphasize his anguish throughout the track, as he clears his mind of a failed relationship.
Remember back in January where it was reported that Kanye West was performing at the 2014 X-Games and we were all confused why?
Well he did and it was amazing. Kanye West was in Austin, Texas this past weekend to kick and performed at the 2014 Summer X-Games. The extreme sports competition where fans get to see athlete's defy the law of gravity and science also got to see Yeezus perform some of his most iconic material. Check it out below.
