How can radio have so much power? Apparently, that's hip hop's biggest plight, according to Public Enemy's Chuck D. If you recall, the legendary rapper was fuming not too long ago in regards to Hot 97's Summer Jam and how much of an epic fail it was. The rapper continued to air out his frustration against radio during his interview with Billboard.

"My goal by year's end is to change the face and sound of urban radio. I've been in this shit 30 years, too long to just sit and let it be. I'm not going to be the grim reaper. I don't want to be the grim reaper. But people have to stand up and we need some change, and it's time."

Does Chuck D have the legwork to make that happen? It'll be interesting to find out whether he could put a dent onto mainstream radio. This isn't the first time Chuck D has tackled the horns of hip-hop. Last year, he spoke on rappers' use of the N-word and why it was a lazy approach to rhyming.
