Spike Lee Will Direct Pharrell’s Apollo Theater Performance

Legendary filmmaker Spike Lee will be directing super producer Pharrell next month when he performs at the famed Apollo Theater. The pair is set to work together in NYC on June 3 as part of the American Express Unstaged concert series, where well-known directors film concerts of popular artists to be webcasted live on YouTube/Vevo.

This is not Lee’s first time directing for the concert series. The man behind Eminem's video "Headlights" previously directed a performance from John Legend and the Roots.
