Earlier this week, reports that Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def would be unable to fulfill his performance agreement at the Together Boston Music Festival due to "immigration/legal issues," may not be true.  Bey was allegedly unable to re-enter the United States and was forced to cancel his impending U.S. tour but an alleged friend of the rapper has now come forth stating otherwise.

According to reports from the South African based publication, Times Live, these reports are completely false. Def has been spending his time in South Africa as of late and Times Live caught up with his friend and collaborator Abdi "Whosane" Hussein to get the scoop.

"[Mos Def] has never attempted to enter any country and been refused. It's a complete lie," says Hussein. "In fact, if there was anything criminal against you, they would invite you back so they could lock you up."

The report also claims that Mos Def said that though associates had called him "crazy" for relocating to somewhere "light years away", he fell in love with "the good vibe" of Cape Town.
