Remy Ma Will Be Released From Prison On July 31

Papoose announced back in February that Remy Ma is being released from jail in July. Today, he took to Instagram to share the exact release date.

July 31 Remy Ma will be free. The Bronx native was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2008 for charges of assault, weapons possession and attempted coercion stemming from her incident with Makeda Barnes-Joseph in 2007 during which Barnes-Joseph was shot two times while the two women struggled in a car. Remy's her husband Papoose has been by her side since the beginning of this whole ordeal, even getting a tat of Remy inside a bottle of Remy Martin.

In a recent interview Remy unveiled that she has written over 20 books of songs while incarcerated and she wants to work with Rick Ross and the whole MMG clan when released.
