Jay Z Breaks Twitter Silence After The Nets Win
Brooklyn Wins again.
Jay Z hasn’t made a peep on Twitter since his epic Q&A in July on the social media platform. It makes sense. He’s a busy dude. Between growing the roster at Roc Nation Sports, doing the Daddy Day Care thing for Blue Ivy, gracing DJ Khaled’s new single and planning a stadium tour with his wife Beyonce he’s got a full plate.
Yesterday Hov showed up on Twitter for the first time in 10 months with an update full of good sportsmanship. Shortly after the Brooklyn Nets overcame the Toronto Raptors in game 7 of their series, Brooklyn’s favorite son sent a message to his team’s rivals. In light of the recent shot from Raptor ambassador Drake, the former owner of the Nets (Jay gave up his ownership stake in the team when he launched RNS) kept it classy. He sent the congratulatory tweet after the Nets win over the Raptors sent them to the next round of the playoffs. Jay’s Biggie-inspired tweet broke his drought but is it the start of a new flood. Only time will tell.
Congrats Toronto on a hard fought series. #spreadloveitsthebrooklynway
