Funkmaster Flex Responds To 2 Chainz’s Comments

Funkmaster Flex has no hard feelings toward 2 Chainz after the rapper ripped him during a recent concert for talking down about his freestyle ability. The veteran record spinner recently sat down with Complex and addressed the tension between he and the Atlanta MC. “I thought it was cool," said Flex of Chainz's response. "I get it. You know what I mean? I think when people freestyle to me on my show that’s already top tier. So, if you’re asking [for] the worst freestyle in comparison to the greats that was the one for me," added Flex not backing down from his prior comments.

The Hot 97 DJ added that another crack at it might produce positive results. "You know, maybe if he came a second, third time he’ll give a great freestyle. It was just that day. But I love him. You know what I mean? Artists get into a funny place sometime, but I love him.”

As previously reported, the issue began when Flex was featured on an episode of EPSN2's Highly Questionable and revealed that Tity Boy spit the worst freestyle on his radio show's entire tenure. The Def Jam rapper responded a short time later telling a crowd during one of his shows “don’t give a fuck what Funkmaster Flex gotta say about this nigga from Atlanta.”
