Earlier today, an alleged rapper named Maserati, a friend of Donald Sterling, leaked an interview between himself and the L.A. Clippers owner. In the hour-long conversation, Sterling denied that he's a flagrant racist, said his former mistress, V. Stiviano, is the one who really has an issue with Black people and then went on to describe their sex life. (Praise the gods of voyeurism: He claims there's no tape.) Well, this evening, CNN answered the burning question on everyone's minds. No, not, "Will I ever erase the image of this old dude getting hot and bothered?" The other one: Who is Maserati?

Maserati, a.k.a. Maseratimet, told CNN's Don Lemon that he's known Sterling for five to six years and that they met because Maserati "ran a service in Las Vegas," which he admits was an escort service. "So, you introduced him to some ladies from time to time," says the reporter, which Maserati confirms, adding that Sterling preferred light-skinned Black women.

Maserati and Sterling allegedly got on the phone after the original TMZ recordings were released, with the NBA owner attempting to defend himself against the accusations of racism. Initially, the conversations between the two acquaintances were off the record, but Maserati claimed that the Magic Johnson trashing pushed him to record the talks without Sterling's knowledge.

Toward the end of the interview, CNN's Lemon calls Maserati out for asking for money for the tapes and the interview, which Maserati denies. Thus the interview's main achievement is to reaffirm that the Clippers owner veers on the racist side and that, yes, Maserati, sometimes it's hard out there for a pimp, especially if you're providing for Donald Sterling.
