DJ Rashad’s First Performance In Germany Released By Berlin Dance Label

DJ Rashad is gaining new life after death. The producer and DJ best known for ushering in “footwork” music in Chicago died last month from causes still unknown, but that hasn’t put a stop to his music.

Berlin dance label Leisure System recently released a recording the late DJ’s first performance in Germany.

In a statement released on Leisure System’s SoundCloud page the label said “Originally we recorded it for our own archive, but with his passing we wanted to share this with all of you.We will always be thankful for the inspiration he was to musicians and fans worldwide, us included, and hope that this recording will contribute to his legacy.”
