Wu-Tang Clan, “Protect Ya Neck”

The sonic elements in this classic Wu track are incredible. There’s the drum loop, the bass line loop, the sporadic piano and more that pleases the ear. More than 20 years later, it's still widely considered as RZA’s best work yet.

Wu-Tang Clan, “C.R.E.A.M.”

The nine-headed rap crew spoke many truths on “C.R.E.A.M.” With RZA handling the soft, melodic instrumental, the single has grown into a memorable hip-hop classic, and the sentiment—Cash Rules Everything Around Me—has found its way into countless rhymes ever since.

With Wu-Tang’s album, Once Upon a Time In Shaolin already garnering lucrative offers, including a steep $5million offer, some crazed fans have found an alternative way in trying to purchase the one-of-a-kind album available.

Two diehard fans named Russell Meyer and Calvin Okoth-Obbo, have took it upon themselves to try to purchase the album. How you ask? The two have decided to launch a kickstarter to raise the funds to buy the album, according to Pitchfork.

Before the album could be auctioned off to the highest bidder, the album will tour around the world and be featured in museums. The two men have said if they were to win the album’s bid, they would share the music to the world for free.-Carl Lamarre
