Yesterday, images of a Run The Jewels 2 studio sessions involving Rage Against The Machine front man, Zack de la Rocha, and Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker, surfaced and built anticipation on the follow up from El-P and Killer Mike. According to Killer Mike, the session was unplanned and was actually a scheduling error. "I was high and I realized, ‘Oh shit, we invited both the homies to listen to shit one the same day at the same time. Man, I hope the homies fucks with one another,’” Killer Mike told HipHopDX. "Zach knows El. I knows Trav. All parties were cool as fuck.”

The original Run The Jewels project was heralded as one of the best of 2013 and with new artists entering the fold, the follow-up promises to be as good or better. No release date has been set but now that Killer Mike and El-P are in the studio together, expect some loosies soon.—Peter Walsh
